How to Choose an EPR-Registered Recycler for Your Brand

What to check before signing with an EPR recycling partner — registration status, documentation practices, and how collection targets actually get met.

How to Choose an EPR-Registered Recycler for Your Brand

Start with registration, not price

Before comparing quotes, confirm the recycler is actually registered under the CPCB's EPR framework to handle the category of electronics your brand sells. A low quote from an unregistered vendor doesn't help your EPR filing — only collection and recycling routed through a properly authorised channel counts toward your targets.

Ask for their registration details directly; a legitimate recycler will share this without hesitation.

Check how collection is documented

Your EPR targets are only as good as the paperwork behind them. Ask how collection events are recorded, what proof you receive per consignment, and how that rolls up into the annual filing you'll eventually submit. A recycler who can't describe this process clearly is going to leave you scrambling for documentation at filing time.

This matters even more if you're working with multiple collection points or channel partners feeding into one EPR target.

What ongoing support should look like

A good EPR partner does more than collect waste once a year — they help plan collection drives, track your progress against targets through the year, and flag early if volumes are falling short. That's a very different relationship from a one-off pickup vendor.

We work with producers on exactly this basis — registration, documentation and ongoing tracking, not just a single collection event.
